The Carmelite Sisters are a group of meditative Catholic nuns who follow the reformed Calmero rules defined by St. Theresa of Avila. The Calmero Church is so named because it was traditionally established by Christian hermits on the Calmero Mountain in Palestine. Galmero will be isolated from the world. Before building their own monastery, the original Calmeros lived with the Sisters of Mercy in Taii, Mangilau. Galmero will leave Guam in 2016 after 50 years.
