Dying Achilles Trojan Hero Arrow Marble Greek Sculpture

In Greek mythology, Achilles was a hero of the Trojan War.In the myths surrounding the Trojan war, Achilles died from a heel wound as the result of a poisoned arrow fired by Paris. In this sculpture, Achilles is lying naked on a stone, looking up at the sky, supporting himself with his left hand, and pulling a poisoned arrow from his foot with his right hand.The muscles of his body are carefully carved in marble, and his helmet shows the unique ornamentation of a Greek warrior.
