Our Madame Banneux is the nickname given by the Virgin Mary to Mariette Beco, a teenage girl who lived in Bennes, In the Belgian province of Liege. Between January 15 and March 2, 1933, Beko told her family and parish priest that she had seen a lady in white declaring herself “The Virgin of the poor,” saying, “I have come to ease the pain, believe me, and I will believe you.” According to Mariette, she first saw the Virgin on the evening of Sunday, January 16, 1933, when she was looking out of her kitchen window.

A woman in white stood in the garden and asked her to come out, but her mother would not let her. She was described as a young lady in the yard smiling at her. The woman leans forward slightly, wearing a long white robe with a blue sash and a transparent white veil. Three days later, the woman in white reappeared and told Mariette that she was an “Our Lady of the Poor.” The woman appeared eight times, the last time on March 2, 1933. You can put Our Lady of Banneux statue in your garden. So you can see her in the garden every day. There are more Virgin Mary statues for you to choose from.
