Simon Helps Jesus Bear the Cross Relief Marble Statue
Relief is a form of sculpture. It shows the story in a form inlaid on the wall. The Fourteen Stations of the Sad Road is a very important event in the life of the religious Jesus. This relief sculpture shows Jesus walking forward with the cross on his back. His disciple Simon came to help him carry the cross. Each of the characters shown on this picture has a different look, some are religious elders, and some are followers of Jesus. Their clothes are also delicately sculptured.
