The pictorial depiction of Jesus’ sculpture was controversial in the early church. It took centuries for depictions of him in the art to reach the traditional standardized form of his appearance, which has since remained largely stable. Most images of Jesus have many in common, and these features are now almost universally associated with Jesus, although variations are also seen.
The traditional image of Jesus with long hair and beard appeared around 300 AD. But it was not established in Eastern Christianity until the 6th century, and much later in the West. It has always had the advantage of being easy to recognize and distinguishing Jesus from other figures displayed around him, making the halo of the cross possible as well. Early images were more diverse.
Images of Jesus often exhibit ethnic traits similar to those of the culture that created them. The belief that certain images are historically true, or have acquired authoritative status from church tradition, remains strong among some believers in the Eastern Orthodox church, the Church of England, and the Roman Catholic Church. The Shroud of Turin is now the most famous example, although the image of Edessa and the veil of Veronica were better known in the Middle Ages.
Now, although we can not see the real appearance of Jesus, Jesus in the various depiction of Jesus sculptures in our life is very common. Here you can find Jesus in various forms. The life-size Jesus sculptures, large Jesus sculptures, sleeping Jesus sculptures, open arms hugging you, and the homeless Jesus sculptures. Our Jesus sculpture is mainly made of marble and copper materials. You can choose which material to decorate the fountain sculpture according to the environment you want to install.
