Saint francis of assisi with birds Bronze Statue
On the liturgical calendar the Feast of St. Francis the day the Church honors a great friar from Assisi, Italy. He is the patron saint of the environment and animals because he loved all creatures and allegedly preached to even the birds. In this sculpture, he holds a rosary with a cross around his waist in his right hand. There are lambs and rabbits under his feet, and a bird is standing on his arm. What a lovely sculpture this is!
