The meaning of our lady of miraculous medal statue:
The front of the Miracle Medal depicts Our Lady of Miraculous Medal, her hands outstretched and radiant. St. Catherine Rable saw the Virgin like this and heard her say, “Make a medal after this model. Everyone who wears it around his neck is greatly indebted.” Our Lady of Miraculous Medal stood on the earth as the King of heaven and Earth. Her foot crushed the snake, declaring Satan and all his followers helpless before her. The year 1830 on the Miracle medal is the year our Lady gave the design of the Miracle medal to St. Catherine. The reference to “Our Lady of Miraculous Medal” supports the doctrine of the Immaculate Virgin – meaning that our Lady of Miraculous Medal is innocent, “full of grace” and “blessed among women”. The doctrine of Our Lady of Miraculous Medal was proclaimed 24 years later in 1854 and was confirmed by Mary when she appeared to Saint Bernadette Subirus in Lourdes, France, in 1858.
